Well, if we are to consider things from a mental health point of view, then we must adopt the "When does it become maladaptive?" paradigm. For example, does the purchase of ammunition preclude the purchase of food, or does the number of safe storage devices limit the amount of daylight entering the residence, thus creating a dangerous propensity towards rickets?

Short of that, I would wholeheartedly concur with the idea that one can never have too many guns... Excepting, of course, the already mentioned circumstances of: A) When swimming, and; B) As many as the Spouse allows.

Luckily, I rarely spend time near water, and my dear wife is very kind to limit me only to having no more than twice the firearms that she owns.

Life is good.

If the UN starts sending inspectors and some politician claims that my house is a rebel state with WMDs, I'll realise that I at some point have surpassed the 'too many guns' stage...

I'm waiting for August for the safes at costco... I need 2 more to add to the 4 I have already...

That might be a clue you have to many...just kidding. I have as many guns as I can afford, which is not enough
