Just for you 10/22 Tacitcal guys.....

Grantmac, I know one of the developers of Gunfighter for the Canadian Forces, he trains to use the charging handle. I was trained to use the charging handle in all instances, save locking back the BCA.

TDC and I have differing opinions on some things, this is not one of them.
 
Tactemp, I reload and run the charging handle while my bang stick is still high ready. I'll only come into the workspace if my chamber check indicates I need more than a fresh mag all other conditions excluded.

What are you referring to as "high ready?" Not sure our use of the term is the same.
