although i am so excited about my first rifle..bu there some thing drove me crazy...see picture below
it came along with the new gun.. it looks so greasy.. and i cant get it off...
any suggestions on this?

I left mine on. IT's not anywhere I need to grab her. And once it soaks up enough dirt it falls off anyway.

yep Stag 2 LEFTY its very nice rifle
and on the right side of picture, there is a yellow scrach which i believe is caused by flying out shells , am i correct? is it normal like that way ?
 
a powder solvent like hoppes or s good CLP like FP-10/Breakfree should work. put it on, let it soak then brush with a nylon brush then wipe off the excess.

That is the brass deflector, it is very normal for the yellow marks, it's from the ejected casings hitting that piece (saves from getting it in the face)

Mickey, my Stag Lower came in a safeway bag which had been banging against the other items that were shipped with it. It had several scratches on it, but I am not too anal with the rifles. It's the pistols that I save that for :D

I already shot 50 rounds through it last Sunday..it was incredible experience~!!! now the work left me to do is get some scope aimpoint stuff on it.... another question, do you guys clean you guns everytime you go out shotting ? by cleaning i mean take gun apart and clean it...
if so thats too bad..i cause did not get chance to read manual (english is too hard for me) and no idea how to take them apart..
 
I usually clean after ever go... I clean the bolt/carrier group with slip2000 carbon cutter then I relube. I also clean the chamber with a chamber brush. I picked up a chamber cleaning system from www. deweyrods.com For a lube you have many options synthetic motor oil, slip 2000, CLP, Gun Oil... they all work so take your pick.. After I usually run a patch coated with lube down my bore before storage... I picked up a boreguide and dewey bore rod from dewey...

Go to http://www.ar15.com/content/ and take a look at their Guides section.. those diagram will help you out with field stripping etc... Also, I can email you a PDF manual with more details on maintenance and use of your new rifle if you want. ( tm9-1005-319-23 )

Taking it apart is very simple.

The rear pin pops out (from left to right)... the top (upper) lifts up (hinged on the front pin).... the charging handle and bolt will then come out. That is it; this takes about 10 seconds (if that.)

After a range session I will usually just wipe down the bolt and run a boresnake with lube down the barrel a few times; 5 minutes. You don't need to make it look new each time.

Different parts are: upper receiver, bolt assy, barrel extension.
Everything else is the same.
