Just got back from range w/ Ruger SR9

Just put 200 rounds thru my Ruger SR9. Loved it!!!!!

Being a noob to handguns, I wasnt sure what to expect. After the first pull of the trigger, I developed perma-grin.......

Smooth trigger, I really like the sights. The grip is comfortable. The only thing I noticed is the empties are ejected almost on your head.... My hoodie hood had 6 empties in it after the 200 rounds...

Now for a good cleaning, and will repeat next weekend!!! Cant wait!

(Will bring the GP100 with it this time)

My Chiappa 1911-22 was combing my hair with cases this aft.

I think you should wear a hoodie all the time when shooting that gun. It's an easy way to collect cases for reloading.

Right on man! But thats wierd, my wifes ejects firmly to the right but 6 outta 200 in the hood aint bad lol

Very likely it'll send them more to the side after you clean out the factory gunk. Sending them onto your head is more a sign of the factory greases or lubes slowing the slide down so the ejector doesn't send them out with enough speed. Once cleaned and oiled with regular gun oil things should be a little more snappy.

Congrats on the new toy. The one I shot was surprisingly accurate. I didn't care for the feel of the trigger though. But keep in mind that I'm a hammer gun fan so NONE of the striker triggers really do anything for me.
