Just got back from Sig Sauer demo day at CRAFM.

Nice club.Met some nice people.Tried the 716 patrol.Worked fine.About an hour into shooting something in the lower was acting up(trigger?)They ended up taking the lower off a DMR and putting it on the 716 upper.I didn't shoot the 716 with the DMR upper.I drove 2 hours to check out the 716 patrol.I'm glad i did.That little problem sealed the deal for me so i didn't buy one.Maybe i'm being to fussy?The price was right, but you have to go with your gut instinct.The Sig Sauer Rep told me that they sold 200 in Canada and had none of those return for warranty work.Guess i'll keep looking!

Great rifles--ours are all running with no issues. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

RC Fan.I would sure like to hear some positive feedback on the 716.Any details would be greatly appreciated.$1699.00 is an amazing price.I have read good and bad reviews.Maybe you can sell me on them.The Sig reps didn't.

I still have a lot to learn about ARs, but in my opinion the Sigs stack up very well quality-wise against the other manufacturers. I know Colt is the standard, but I would take my 516 over my 6940.

Have you visited either of the two main Sig forums? They are both very informative!

I realize for some the comparison to Colt is contentious, but I feel the 716 stacks up well with the 901. You can't go wrong for $1699!

There is much betterthen Colt now
 
My plan today was pick up that 716, but damn I wasn't able to fired a single round, the problem came up when it was my turn, holding that silly P-mag wait for them to fix. I gave up since need to hurry back to work.

But The Sig X-Five sold me on the spot, will save a few bucks for that.
