They have fair number of military rifles and ammo for sale, but nothing I "really" needed. A springfield trap door that was not bad, one M1 Garand that looked good on the out side, but the bore was a sewer pipe. A couple of Ross MkIII's one with good markings. One RIC carbine, one long lee full wood but missing some parts. Several Smle's and No4's and also a good number of Sniders and Martini Henry's. But most of these rifles were just down right dirty!!! I'm not planning to go back tomorrow for the auction, althought I'd kind of like to, just to see what some of this stuff goes for.... but man, that can be a loooooooooong day!!

Cheers
Dean

PS Oh yea, the saddest bubba job I saw was on a Ross rifle, because I think it was a MkI..... (very frigging rare) it made me groan out load when I saw it, and most of the bumpkins there thought the Smles were the real rare rifles on the tables...

I sort of collected Ross's for a couple of years, and you need to have the books to know. Also, you can go by the markings on the butt. They were still there, but the front of the stock had been chopped!!! Very sad, but it had been done a long time ago when they didn't have much value. Also I happen to know someone that has one of the largest collections of Ross rifles in Canada, who has a full section of one wall, all MkI's!!!!

Hmmm....A front stock can be fixed as long as the metal is all intact

Why dont you go pick it up for me??

Well, the firearms part of the auction doesn't start till tomorrow, and since I have 3 gun shows in a row coming, I don't really what to push it with the wife anymore than I am. Sorry!

Cheers
