Just got my 6.5x55 Swede Sporter!!! How'd I do? **Updated With Range Report**

That gun prob has the rear sight graduated for the 139gr torpedo round. Your ppu 139's should run great out of that gun

Looks like it is working for you!
Like another poster said, it'll take another session or two to get used to new
rifle.

Gotta like those Swedish rifles!

Forgot to mention two things:

1. Ammo - PPU 139 grain FMJ
I've read that PPU works well but is a little dirty -- leaves a lot of powder fouling. Got a box of that myself just wondering if it's as dirty as some people say.

2. If you are turkey necking -- because of the high scope -- you might want to check out ScopeEZE -- cheek rests. I have them on two of my rifles and they work really well.
Brownells sells them.

Thanks for posting

You have lots of choices if you reload, however I have found that the 140 grain Sellier and Bellot soft points shoot extremely well in the swede mausers, have shot at least a dozen moose with this ammo, one at over 400 yards. You have a great little rifle there!
