Just got my Derya MK-12 in the mail!

It makes more pressure and cycles the action. I can go back and forth with the chokes and the gun works and doesnt work with the target loads. The "high brass" loads cycle the action with any choke. It seems to make sence that a choke will increes pressure or maybe maintain a certain amount of pressure. It works with fluids why not gasses?

pressure is the measure of resistance so adding resistance would incress the measured pressure. Or the effctive pressure within the barrel

After reading more to find actual info, yes a tighter choke increeses pressure and also velocity too.

"While we are getting technical, let me note that tight#shotgun choke increase pressures, and hence velocity. A point of choke is worth about 1ft per second on velocity"

I too am interested in a Range report. I've been looking at buying one of these but don't want to spend $1,000 on something I can't shoot skeet with. I've read that you have to run a couple hundred rounds of high brass loads through it before it will shoot two and three quarter trap load reliably

Don't know about the Mk12, but I ran 50 (mix of Magnum 00 Buck and slugs) heavy loads through my Mk10 as an initial break-in and it cycled light target loads just fine after that.

Not to sound insulting, but i dont think you want to bring this one to the skeet range :)

Took mine to the farm this past weekend. Put my troy BUIS on it. Got 3 extra mags with it as well.

Overall it functioned fine. Ran slugs fine, birdshot, buckshot, magnum rounds, etc. Recoil is manageable. Nothing glaring.

There does seem to maybe be an issue with the mags. In which the spring would push up on the 5 rounds so hard that the bolt isn't able to force the shell forward. So you'd hit the bolt release and nothing. Not a big deal. Might need to manually do it by pushing the charging handle forward.

Would I trust it in the zombie apocalypse. Not without a back up pistol! The semi auto is really nice though! Smooth action. I imagine it will only get smoother with time.

There were a couple stovepipes. And one double feed.

Im planning on using this for 3gun so Im hoping that after I striped it back down, gave it a proper cleaning, that any issues will go away. Not that they were anything major.

Stovepipes were with cheap fioochi buckshot. I will chalk everything up to the break in period. I should have probably brought more magnum loads but after shooting 50-70 rounds my shoulder wasn't the happiest.

Oh. And don't put the charging handle on the left side. The bold release is a nice piece of metal which sliced my finger. Which is ashame because I would love to have the charging handle on the left side. But its a bit risky.

Ive got some surplus G3 mag pouches that the 1919/derya mags fit in. They are a bit tall so the flaps dont closed, but you could cut them off and use them as open top pouches.

If anyone is interested in some, pm me, they'll be cheap.

I have a Mk-10 Gen1 Last batch that came in at 599$, It has the bufferbolt printed on the bolt like the mk-12 now have and i dont know if its because of this but first time i took it out i shot 150 2-3/4 light load Challenger shells without any failure. All that with the choke that came with it. So im pretty they fixed all of their issues by now since my late produced Gen1 is flawless. Bad reviews are the ones from the very first batch. And damn this mk-12 look BADASS. Make sure you clean this grease very well.

I did some kind of a marathon test with mine with the light load shells since i have 5 extra 5round mags.
No hiccup took me around 40 seconds to unload those 25 shells.
I also accidentally dropped it in the snow and shot 10 shells completely damp and snowy without a problem too.

Does anybody know if you can change out the stock for something else. I dont have a AR and was wondering if the stock would be compatable with something else. I dunno about the commercial or milspec buffer tube information, I would like something Magpul or non cheek riser type.
