Just Got My PAL/RPAL, What Now?

"...What else does a beginner need?..." A cleaning kit. $20 ish.
"...Is it true that you need to have the signatures of two other members to get a membership?..." Depends on the club. I'd ask any club the requires that if they know about ### and travel though. Means they're not interested in new members.
"...in Waterloo..." Shooter's Choice is in Waterloo. Twin City isn't in Waterloo either. 300 meter range though.
"...due to it's high price..." It is kind of pricey at $304 plus $60 for initiation and a key.

I have decided to go with a Ruger 10/22, and with a 25% off sale tomorrow I couldn't have timed it any better.

Another question if I may, I think I might have confused storage laws with transportation laws.

Is it true you can transport the gun without any locking device as long as it is unloaded and out of sight?

Non-restricted yes and it only needs to be out of sight if you are leaving it in the vehicle unattended. Legaly you could drive with your new 10/22 in your passengers seat with a fully charged magazine right next to it so long as it isnt afixed to the firearm. Although I personaly don't recomend that some anti might just end up calling the cops if they see a gun in your passenger seat causing unnessicary hassel to yourself. Rules for restricted are a bit different.
