no, just spend a little more time, adjust the screws out counterclockwise, ultimately lowering the mag down a little further... it should correct your hang up problems... :)

That reminds me, if you are trying to use them on a very early 10/22, you might be out of luck... I couldn't adjust mine to work on a 1966-67 sporter, I guess they ever so slightly change the mag well/bolt specs over the years.

If I tried backing up he adjustment screws so that the bolt wouldn't catch, but then the mag wouldn't lock in :( I also couldn't get ramline 10rds magazine to work in it... Oddly enough, new or old factory magazine will work just find in it!
 
Alright guys. I have solved ALL of my 10/22 problems...except for these damn mags.

When I bring the screws out to give more clearance for the mag, I can't get the mag catch to work. The mag sits in there loose and ultimately falls out. If I don't go far enough, the bolt still catches on the extractor on the magazine lip.

I would make a video of the problem if I could, but I don't have a digital camera anymore... :(

Is there any particular combination I should use to get my mags to work? I'm worried if I play with the screws too much I'll end up jamming the whole damn thing up.

Did BC steel lips work for you?
 
Alright guys, here's the issue:
The cartridges are feeding into the chamber too low. I think.
The cartridges are stopping just as the bullet meets the casing, getting stuck with the bolt about 2/3's closed.
Should I make the front of the mags taller?

Back down,front up

A good baseline is put the mag in with the bolt closed and adjust it until it won't catch anymore,then go back a turn
 
Rear section of the follower down,the front section up.
Just enough at the rear so it catches the case,enough at the front that it rises quickly.But not a lot where it would drag

Hard to describe,i just know by looking at it
 
I was out test firing a few rounds in the yard a while ago...wow.

Comparing the stock 10/22 with a BC hot lips mag to a 10/22 with VQ internals and TI mags is NIGHT AND DAY.

If you're reading this and you're thinking about modding your 10/22...go and get your credit card. You'll thank me later.

I think mine took longer to arrive since Canada Customs saw fit to open the package and inspect it. They opened one of the mag packages. (I wonder if they took it to the range? If they did, they cleaned it nicely after they were done.)

Anyway, wow these mags look great. I really like the roll-up spring inside design.

I can't wait to try them out!
