Thirteen days ago, Randy Scheer put a nice walnut M14 stock in the mail to me...today it arrived, despite me goofing up and scrambling my home and mailing address.
The stock is one of his commercial-made new-condition walnut stocks. I had him add a full set of stock hardware, so it's ready to go, right out of the box. Total cost was about US$200+30 for shipping, and I paid C$18 and change when it arrived.
This is the link to a similar stock.... ht tp://www.treelinem14.com/M14-Wood-Stock-Walnut-M1A-11128-11128.htm
The wood is very, very nice...the grain pattern may not qualify as 'fancy' but it looks great. [I'll have pictures up in a day or two]. It still smells of tung oil, and I plan to put a few more coats on before it gets used.
Randy was very helpful and quick to communicate when I realized my address was wrong. Fortunately the box# and postal code were correct, and that was enough to get the package to my postal outlet.
More later...
