got myself SAGE stock. I never had M14 though. Sort of torn apart right now with options. Should I get plain-jane Norc M14 and blast away? Or M1A? Or Nork receiver and collect all good parts including match barrel? Who is making good price-efficient accurate barrels for M14 by the way? What is your opinion, people? I like accurate rifles, anywhere close to 1" warms my heart.

I wouldn't waste money on a match barrel. I just built up my norc with all usgi parts - only chinese left is receiver.

Hungry helped guide me with my build and he was in heaven - she pinged real loud and long!

I also have a sage ebr - mine is the M39 USMC EMR version in coyote brown - this is the stock I put the above build into. When I sort out the trigger tests, it'll be my one and only m14.

Only have one, so it may as well be the best. The sage is all you'll ever need for a stock. The USMC seemed to agree as this is what they are replacing the McMillans with - ergo why I wanted the M39 version.

Mine is set up with the SEI 2006 mount as well - same as USMC.

Have fun with it.

Cheers,Carl

Where did you guys buy Sage EBR stocks? I thought the U.S. State Department had banned their export to Canadian civilians.

I got mine by sheer luck off of the EE here. Just keep looking - they do come up, just don't expect to get them for a lowball price. They command a pretty penny, to the tune of at least $1000, if not more - considering as you said - US has banned their export.

Cheers, Carl
