Just how good are the Sightron riflescopes?

I have several of the SIII in 8-32X, and find that they seem to represent excellent value.
Like them more than a couple of Bushnell's that I had, for comparable $.
I have typically used Nightforce scopes, and no, the Sightron isn't as clear or bright, but again, for the money, they stack up pretty well.
If I could afford to put Nightforce, or better, on all of my rifles, I would....but I'm not willing to spend the money.
Instead, I have opted to mount the Sightrons on my 'range only' units, and keep the Nightforces for my 'premium' rifles.
If Sightron were the only scopes that I could get, or afford, I wouldn't be too upset.......

My Big Sky 36x is very clear and reliable, it is not a S&B but for the third of the price, the value is good... JP.

Just tried out my sightron SIII 8-32x56 and was very pleased with the scope compared to my Vortex Viper and Bushnell Elite. Not sure comparing it to a NF, have only looked at one up close.

I've got a SII Big sky in 4.5 x14. I had it out this week and dialed in 42 clicks to shoot out to 520 meters and it was on. Dialed it back to zero and it made the trip, zero intact. I have an older Leupold (20 years)and a swarovski z6i and the sightron falls in the middle. Currently looking for a new scope and sightron is in the running

If i get pick for tigrr Mile shoot i will order a Sightron 6X24X50 with the moa reticule, it got 100 MOA of elevation, the quality is there... JP.

Never had anything "better" to compare mine to, but my SIII 8-32x allows me to see .223 bullet holes at 300 yards (as far as I've shot with it so far). Very convenient not to need a spotting scope when shooting at shortish range.

I hope they are good I just ordered a SIII 20x from Mystic Precesion.
It will be my first Sightron, and 3rd scope every in my life.
1/2 year ago I bought my first scope, a $91 Tasco
Then I bought a used SWFA Super Sniper,
and now just ordered a Sightron.

Your taste in optics is improving.

I'm sure you will be delighted with the Sightron. :)

Me too. I just sold a used 10x Tasco Super Sniper with the intent to buy a fixed 16x Sightron.

My 20x SS is in the EE right now for a lot less than yours and no one has snapped it up yet!

I was torn between getting 16 or 20 but figured I was already kind of used to the 20 SS so I stuck with 20.

Jerry's on vacation this week so I am ordered but waiting. I'm excited!
