Just how good (or bad) is the Lockhart Tactical Raven 5.56 NATO Modular Semi-automatic Rifle - NON-RESTRICTED???

off topic, but i've been thinking that one of the unintended consequences of the trudeau bans is the forced innovation in the canadian firearms manufacturing market. there are now more guys making simpler firearms.

if canada ever gets into a shooting war it's not going to be like in ukraine where an uninvolved third party can keep feeding us weapons; if canada is in it then everyone else is in it and we are going to have to make our own guns. we are probably better prepared now than previously to arm ourselves.
Personally, I wouldn't stake my life on anything that didn't come out of the Colt Canada plant in Kitchener, ON. YMMV, but nobody ought to have to rely upon a WK-180 or some other sub-standard design to defeat the marauding hordes.....

oh for sure. i purposefully stayed away from anything about the (lack of) quality in what we are producing. but when the first wave hits and our first line of defence is blown to bits, being able to make stuff in garages across the country beats throwing rocks. of course, if they allowed civilians to stay armed in the first place it wouldn't be an issue. but that's even more off-topic ...

I don't think it's off topic at all - It's exactly why we have many of the weird (and too often shoddy) options that we do.

Innovation by itself is not a bad thing, of course. But there is innovation, and there is "innovation".

According to their FB group they don’t think that they will ever be able to bring the delivery time down. The demand is very high and they are a small shop.
