Not a good idea to let the other side know where you are by the muzzle flash.
I wonder how well the M1carbine would have done if it had been made in .45ACP instead of the .30 calibre? After all, the carbine was supposed to take the place of the pistol.
I do recall seeing a M1 Pedersen at a gun show many years ago. Now thats RARE!
