After many hours on the phone calling nation wide for this rifle....I finally found ONE and only one in Winnipeg at Wholesale Sports. There were lots of 223 WSSM's and 25 WSSM's but the 243 WSSM was almost non-existant. A quick $1M sent off to Winnipeg and picked up powder, dies and brass last Friday in anticipation of her arrival. Well yesterday she arrived at my door.:dancingbanana:  After a quick inspection I realized that the trigger was rediculous and the bolt was less than silky smooth. I've since pulled the action out of the stock and cleaned things up, loosened the trigger spring the best I could and have worked the action for a while. Things seem to be getting better, but far from my 220 Swift! This rifle NEEDS a new trigger spring and some time on the bench for load developement. Pic's will be posted soon. Browning's bedding job is...well....lacking.

Congrats, hope it's a Shooter for ya !

Well took her for a walk yesterday out to Redd's back porch. Set her in the lead sled and was shootin' 220 yards going through the step loads. She eats them all up with no real variance in accuracy from 45 grains right up to max 46.2 under a 70 grain BT. Sub 1" @ 220 yards from a less than ideal shooting position off a wobbly lead sled set up. I'M IMPRESSED! Now just a new trigger spring and she'd good to go.

That Browning outshot every Remington in Chilly's stable... even with a crap trigger. Once Darryl does the new trigger spring it will be a frikken lazer....:sniper:
I must mention that the 220 Swift is an outstanding shooter... for a Remington.:slap:
