A four-year old thread is old!
Will an AIA magazine work in a No.4 converted to 7.62x51 for use in DCRA matches? Not likely. The Australian AIA rifles were designed to use rimless cartridges, and one of the better choices available to the designers was the US M14-style rifle magazine. Very different.
