We just got in a shipment of Glock 17 Generation 4 pistols, which have been out of stock since December.

The Glock needs little introduction. It's one of the most popular designs on earth, adopted by more militaries and police forces worldwide than just about anything else in pistol history, and it consistently stacks up in the top of the scoreboards at competition shoots in the hands of many recognized names. With an enormous aftermarket, these are about as easy as it gets when it comes to going from bone stock to tricked out!

I have one of these that I bought elsewhere. As much as I love it, I really get annoyed with the extractor. For some reason, the gen4 g17s extract the casing right toward the head, rather than to the side. Every few shots a casing smacks me right in the forehead. I'm not the only one with the problem either, lots of people on youtube have videos on the extractor - and how Glock sent them a new extractor to install.

I'm not entirely sure on how to go about that process but other than that slight annoyance, it is a blast to shoot.

Weird. I haven't had that problem.

Older Gen 4's had ejection issues that some experienced and some didnt. Glock gave factory replacements for free. If your ejector has no markings on it you have the "old" version. If it is stamped 30274 on it then you have the newest. I had mine replaced because it was a free part. Never had issues with either though. YMMV!
