Hi. I dont own or use Tikka rifles. My friend just dropped off a T3 Stainless in 300WSM for me to appraise then sell for him. He is going back to using his .243win for hunting (recoil sensitive).
It has has a 3 port/side muzzle brake integrally drilled/installed. It has been hunted but is in good condition.
It comes with warne 1" rings. He paid $450 to get the brake installed. (I know you dont get it all back when you sell it)
Any idea what it is worth ballpark? I can post pics later today.

Barrels dont have enough meat to thread on a brake, it had to have one integral. I think the trigger on this gun is superb. Wow. How much would a "new old stock" T3 cost if you could find one?

Not a.gun I follow, but I will take a stab.

I am going to say 800-1000. Depending on how fast you want to sell it. Maybe price of middle of lower, sell the rings separate.

IMO, the brake would make.it sell faster, not necessarily for more.

I would have pegged it at $850 final sale price had it not been equipped with a brake. Now this is completely personal, but I detest brakes on sporting rifles and would never buy one or have one installed. So perhaps my number is coloured by that prejudice. But, in my opinion, the rings add a small amount, but negligible, since there is no incentive for the owner to keep them once the rifle is sold (kinda like keeping the winter tires for your old vehicle, like my neighbour did...they won't fit on her new rig so WTF!). Then there is the fact that you have a Tikka, a long actionned rifle, in the 300 WSM which makes little sense. Buy a 300 WM and get the extra 100 FPS out of it or buy a different rifle and just go from there. I'm not a huge fan of the 300 WSM but that's probably because my 30 caliber lineup is a tad saturated (308, 3x 30-06, 300 H&H, 300 WM). It doesn't do anything that the other don't do and essentially replicated my 300 H&H in a short package which is negated by the fact that it is in a long action rifle. Again, probably adds to my prejudice.

Do I think it would be a good rifle for someone who wanted a reasonably light 30 caliber rifle that will do the trick on most anything huntable? Absolutely. I just wouldn't want the brake.

So perhaps you could squeeze out another $100 over my price if the moon and stars aligned, but I think that the majority of hunters look at brakes the way that I do.

I think I got about $700 for a 300wsm blued unfired in a as new synthetic stock [I bought the rifle for the forest stock], I think being stainless adds a $100 to the value, but as others have said the brake would be a deal breaker for me.

So these are worth less than a used Savage 11? Interesting.

About that. The T3 was being blown out a while back when tikka started shipping the T3X. Many dealers had the stainless version going 700-800. So yeah, take off 20-30% and you're in the 500-600 range. Lets not forget the brake too!
I had one in 30-06 amazing accuracy. And a great hunting rifle, I just couldnt warm up to the plastic and had to sell it.
