Not to steal attention from the yoga pants thread but thought would start with some walnut ####. Post your photos if you want to join in.

Here I was getting interested, then nope haha, atleast there's no Kim K here haha
No butt photo or promise of photo then move along.
James, very gentlemanly of you to leave the T. Woodward to me. The fellow who sold me the Atkin recognized my username and did the same which was quite kind of him.

And here's a Manufrance Ideal 6R EE circa 1920. Original butt plate lost to the mists of time. Had a horrible old pad when it came to me. This is a buffalo horn butt plate sculpted by Chris Dawe. And a fine job of it if I do say so.

Here's a Lindner made Charles Daly from the late 1890's that is not mine but I'm working on rectifying that.

And this is what the un-restored wood that is attached to that butt plate looks like. Can anyone say "Marble Cake"

This is fun. Queensland Maple on a 1915 Lithgow SMLE. Dam them for punching that cartouche and all those dates.

And finally for tonight, this one is no hell but the gun it belongs to is one of my holy grails of gun collecting. It's a Remington Model 1894 EE grade 16 gauge....a two barrel set. One of 7 16 gauge EE's ever made. Less than 40 in any gauge. I've been quietly looking to pry it loose from the owner since the fall of 2015 when I discovered it. It needs a very sympathetic restoration. Another EE in top original condition sold at auction a couple years ago for a hammer price of $60,000 USD.

Engraving courtesy of Joseph Loy.....widely acknowledged as, if not the best engraver then damn close to it, during the Golden Age of American SxS.

This was a nicely done no name Birmingham boxlock I had for a couple years. 12 gauge and quite light. Noticeably under 6.5 pounds IIRC

Here is another Lindner made Charles Daly. This one actually does live in my safe and will not be sold in my lifetime. The finest gun I own and it is in the midst of a very lengthy and very detailed restoration.

And here's an original butt plate on a 1909 A H Fox made in 1909. This is another that I will never sell. It has been in my family since new. I am the fourth custodian and my son will be the fifth.

Last one for the morning. A skulk of Foxes plus a rogue Army & Navy that sneaked into the group.

The Army and Navy has very nice heel and toe plates. The Foxes sport a range of endings....original butt plate, a beat up old Josten pad and a custom made horn plate designed to add just a bit of length.
