My circa 1928 Francotte 28 gauge.
Is that a single trigger I see?
Got any more pics to share with us? What is barrel length and weight? My guess its about 5 1/2 lbs.
You are correct Bill. A single trigger. Only one in my SxS collection. I have the original hardware to convert it back.....just got the gun in April of this year. But thought I would give it a go for awhile first. I'll post some more detail in the Show Us thread and I'll keep this thread on topic.

I figured I would share this one, It is on a CIL double barrel shotgun I received in trade several years ago. It isn't really that pretty but to tell you the truth I really didn't notice it until a little later when I took it out in the sun. We did the deal at a kitchen table and really suggest inspecting guns in full sunlight.
After getting back to him about it he offered to swap back but after hearing his story I decided to just keep the gun..... It belonged to a friend who I shot with a long time ago at the gun club. He wanted a trap gun but was not very handy with wood and metal but decided to have a go at making an adjustable trap stock. I presume all he had was hand tools and completely destroyed the stock in the process. It looks like it may have been hit with something as a bit of a swan song to his work as there is a big chip out of the side. Well my friends father who I got the gun from is very handy with wood and decided instead of scrapping the gun he would trim everything up square find some wood that matches and then blend it all back together even using biscuits at the join and carving a little piece to fit into the gouge in the side. I have been using the gun for 15 years cowboy action shooting and it has held up fine. Also the friend who I got it from passed away a few years ago so there is a bit of sentimental value as well. Most people don't notice anything wrong with it but its there...lol.
