Just noticed something funny about the SU16 AR stocks....

Well, I was looking at some SU16's online and have decided that I didn't like the AR stocks. The stock adapter puts the stock at a downward angle, relative to the receiver. To me, this makes the rifle look quite odd. I like the buffer tube to be parallel to the barrel, like on an AR.

Then I noticed that on the AR stock SU16's that I liked, there was a different bracket holding the stock than the ones I didn't like. I took some pictures below.

Ugly version, which produces a downward slant.... (ugly IMO.)

Good version, which seems to produce a straighter look.

I wonder if the difference is just the bracket, or the whole grip assembly...

Damn I want my SU16...

The diffrent brackets raise or lower the butt stock and empty buffer tube. when you buy the kit it comes with both. Say you have a low profile hunting scope you would be better of installing the lower or downward slanting peice. If you have an acog you would want to emulate an ar so you would want the high peice.
