Hoping I did the right thing! The price on these spikes uppers seemed to be pretty good! Never seen one but the quality seems good from what I have read.

I had been thinking my 20" was too long for SR cqb! I am 6'4" but even with that the full rifle was hanging pretty low on my single point sling.

I have been eyeing up all the shorties at the last few matches and could not resist.

Looking forward to it getting here!:ar15::ar15:

Any thoughts on buffers? It comes with a st-t2 spikes buffer which I am told is between an h and an h2. Will my 20 on a carbine stock run on that okay or will I need to swap between my standard carbine buffer and it when I change uppers?

I would test it out first. I have a 10.25 that runs perfectly on a standard buffer. I would make sure you stake the castle nut solidly if using the same buffer on two different uppers.

Here she is!!

A few thoughts on this so far , as it has yet to get to the range.

1)First the quality seems quite good.
2)The gas key staking as you can see looks to be well done.
3)Fit is a bit loose on my Stag factory lower. My Stag upper is nice and tight, no movement, this one wiggles a bit, nothing major, but a bit.
4)Great service from Questar!
5)Going to try the ST-T2 buffer and see how/if it runs with both this and my 20"
6)Want some magpul moe carbine handguards (Blaxsun...check your mail!)
Overall very happy!:)

Nice looking upper - great price too considering it comes with a BCG and buffer.

Questar must have gotten in a small Spike's shipment - I know deliveries have been erratic.

That's a magpul UBR with the storage doors removed.

It's a very well made stock, but expensive ($300+) and VERY heavy for an AR15 stock. I've had them before and would not use one again unless on an SPR or AR10.

I was looking at an 11.5" LE a while back that came with the same buffer. The retailer (Fab) said they'd had a couple hickups using standard buffers so Spikes made the T-2 specifically for that length/bolt carrier combo so I shouldn't change the bolt etc...granted You'll likely never run it on a lower with a fun switch, so It should be fine.
Questars price was good also, just compare with the prices on gunbroker.

Lol :)

OP what buttstock is on there? I really like the looks of it.

It is as Claven2 has indicated a UBR. It is heavy, but I like the longer reach possible with it and it was originally bought it to go with my 20" where it balances really well. I like it so far with the 10.5", I think it will be fine for multipurpose use.

Plus admittedly, I think it looks cool:D:ar15:
