Just ordered a 10.5"!! Now Arrived - Pics!

Nice rifles!!

My 20" is a Stag Government style 1-7 twist. I added the UBR stock for a kind of Magpulized C7A2. And it is triggered by a Geissele SSA 2 stage, which I quite like. Working on an optic choice. Love your ACOG, but also thinking about the new Elcan SpectreOS 4x. Trying to go for a Designated Marksman style rifle, to use for SR and the new DM matches(if they run them) next year.

Don't count out the 1x-4x Trijicon Accupoint. I'm in love with mine. Same technology as the ACOG for reticle illumination. Much better eye relief than an ACOG too. I suspect the ACOG is more rugged, but thats not an issue for me.

OP - love the look of the 20" with the MOE handguards - very FALish, and I'm betting very cool with the UBR. A very nice set up both ways.

Took a few new pics of my 20" setup. Thanks for the compliments, I also love the FAL look.

That bolt carrier looks pretty good. Do you have a pic of the bolt? What kind of extractor kit do they come with? Does it have a crane o ring?

Here are some pics, it came fully assembled so aside from a quick cleaning and relube, I have not taken it fully apart. Not sure at all on the Crane rings, but it is marked HPT/MPI tested. And it is amazing how scratched up it appears in the pictures, looks solid dark grey in real life.

I have thought about that and if they made it with a BDC reticle at that pricepoint I would be very interested. I am looking for something that can be shot to a point of aim without dialing in a drop on the scope itself.

Also I have an Aimpoint for closer in work so the 1x feature is not really needed.

No one seems to have the Elcan Spectre OS 4x running yet around here (they are pretty new) but the price $1199 and the availability/service (Canadian product) extended eye relief makes it my leading contender.

Except if you were going to keep the C7A2 as a 20" bbl weapon, I would not use a UBR on it, but rather a CTR for weight reasons.

It is heavy overall, but beautifully balanced. It is far more easily shouldered and shot off hand with this stock than the stock A2. IMHO:D

However, if I had to carry it through the mud for 20 hours a day, weeks at a time in a war scenario, with full 30 round magazines......then lighter would be way better.

Realistically, a 14.5" rifle with a CTR type stock would be what I would want to be carrying if placed in harms way. The 20", aside from perhaps a DM role, is really unnecessary in a standard infantry role and quite a bit less practical most of the time.

Well I seen that offer a few weeks ago when there was 3 left. Well I called & confirmed that I can still get one, so I just finished ordering one of these babies. it's an inch shorter then what I wanted but it will still work.

I am looking to win friends on either side of me on the firing line....with luck maybe two or three down:D

hahahaha.coffee.everywhere.

I love the UBR, even on the 10.5. I bet it makes it easy to swing around.

For some reason i've always been wary of spikes (not sure why) but seeing that factory checklist with the names, dates etc, kind of gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

looks like an ar build is in my future...

I had been looking to build one like the second one down, but the price was right on the spikes. However the nea uppers and their new rails could make mine look expensive, if their pricing comes in where they say.....
