Just ordered a Dillon XL650 straight from Dillon!!!

book wise, the ABC's of reloading is good i'm told.

for 9mm there are tons of powders, W231/HP-38, tight group, unique, universal, etc.

primers i stick with CCI because of colour, and the smallest packaging. they are very reliable, and tend to have a harder primer cup. Winchester works too, as does federal primers. federal are one of the softer primer cups around (good for tuned/light hammer spring revolvers)

The Lyman manual has two good things going for it over the others: they list several bullet manufacturers products, and they include cast bullet loads.....
Since they make reloading gear (and cast bullet moulds), it makes sense that they would. Othe reloading manuals ( published by teh bullet makers) only list their own product. Not necessarily a bad thing if you like that particular manufacturer's bullets.

BTW, I also have the Hornady 3rd and 8th editions, and I'm keeping my eyes open for a Speer and Sierra manual...
