Just ordered a Vudoo V22S single shot - PICS ADDED post no 29

I just ordered the new iteration of V22, the single shot barrelled action. I intend to install it in a proper BR stock of course. Am I the first one to try the new single shot version here in Canada ?

Strange how a brand new rimfire action can be in hand in 2 weeks, while an old product, the RimX from another manufacturer, is 4+ months and counting for delivery.

You have that backwards. The Vudoo was released in 2018, for example Insite Arms started taking pre-orders in April 2018. The RimX was only announced in January 2020 with a release goal of sometime during the spring. Of course, something from China got in the way of that...

I have a McMillan light BR stock that is unused at home at the moment. I will try it but may decide to order a bigger BR stock in the future.
I am already planning sessions of ammo testing ( different lots ). Of course it will have to wait as my indoors range is closed at the moment because of Covid.
I will keep you guys posted.

I admit I haven't paid attention to the history of the V22S. But I am operating under the assumption that it had its first commercial delivery sometime in second half of 2020. If someone has data on that I'd be interested in seeing it. The first RimX deliveries were roughly Spring 2020. "The Vudoo" you are referring to is irrelevant in this conversation as it is another model entirely and not what I was referring to.

Only 2 dealers in Canada have Vudoos as far as I know: Insite Arms and GoBig Tactical.
Both great people to deal with.
I went with GoBigTactical because they are the ones having more choice in stock and the ones having some single shot barrelled actions. Price all in: 3600$ which includes the Flavio Fare trigger developed especially for the V22S and shipping and taxes.

The Vudoo V22S appears to have been available to shooters in the fall of 2020. So there's no confusion, this single shot barreled action is a new design. It's not the V22, which has been available for a couple of years. I have to admit I sold a few lately. I am keeping some I cannot sell though, a few Anschutz 54, my Rem 40X etc.

I was referring to their V22 repeater action, apologies if the generic term for one of their rifles was too generic.

My mistake, I missed the single shot part. That being said, my point actually still stands.

RimX was announced in early January 2020 and first delivered as you said, that spring.
The V22S was announced in October, with unknown first deliveries. I haven't been able to find any reviews of the V22S, or even any accounts or video of one being shot.

You are surprised that the RimX might be slower to come out then the V22S? I'm not. Vudoo has years of experience designing and producing .22lr actions, while the RimX is Zermatt Arm's first .22 action. Sorting out design tweaks, obtaining suppliers for materials, 3rd party parts (magazines?) and other services (coatings etc), building facilities, setting up tooling, training the workforce, licensing, legal requirements, dealer arrangements etc etc etc. Vudoo has been doing this sort of thing for the last couple of years pre-COVID, Zermatt is trying to go through the process in these trying times. And while Vudoo says the V22S is an entirely new design, there is a lot of carryover design and technical know-how from their previous work, something Zermatt can't draw from.

Full disclosure: I own neither a Vudoo or RimX rifle.
