just ordered my first handgun from canada ammo, I provided them with rpal number and name of club i'm a member with. What happens now that I've placed the order? do i have to fill out any paperwork or is it all taken care of by the canam? Do i need to provide proof of club membership? I do not have an ATT as i do not have a handgun or any restricted's yet...

what sort of info will my club have to help with? I have a letter proving my membership already if that helps

Well you will have to wait a while.
I ordered mine a few weeks ago and it took them at least a week to process my order.
After that the my region of the CFC contacted me and they had me fax a copy of my range membership. They approved my transfer and the next day Canada ammo shipped my firearm. They however apparently took 2 days to send me a tracking number after it shipped.

If you can, I would call your cfo and tell them you want to fax in a copy of your range membership if you haven't done so already. This will help speed up the transfer as your membership will then be on record.

yea fax in a copy of your range membership to your local cfo and call the firearms line and ask a rep to send you a copy of the form for a long term att if your range does not already have copies of the form. that way when the transfer is complete on your firearm you can fax in your att form so you can transport your gun to any range in your province. the firearms line rep can help you fill out your part of the form so that it is filled in properly.

In Ontario you dont have to do anything to receive your Restricted. Canam takes care of all that stuff and the gun should be delivered right to your door.As for the Club ATT make sure to get your club secretary or whoever is in charge there to get it for you.Its required for most place here anyways .

Thank you, exactly what I wanted to know :)

Hi John, I've ordered restricted firearms through both Can Am and other online retailers, and the BC CFO has always been awesome about taking care of it. I always call to confirm that the firearm has been added to my LTATT. I merely entered the pertinent data into the webpage, and the gun showed up when it showed up. Sometimes the registration certificate arrives from the CFO before, sometimes after, never more than a week apart. I'm not sure if I've been lucky, but I hope my experience has been the norm.

Your adding restricteds to your LTATT in BC? I don't. Mines good for any restricted
