Not trying to sound like an a$$hole but......... anyone who thinks any 12G has too much kick, is a sissy. Tender shoulder ?? After three shots ?? You really want to make that public ? Haha, funny stuff.:ninja:

well.. he is from toronto...:ninja:

NICE !
Really though, I don't mean to pick on anyone but it is kind of sad to complain about gun kick. My 94 pound girlfriend has only slight difficulty with any of my 12G's and has fired my 1911 .45 many times without much problem.

Men, toughen-up and grow a pair ......... or at least don't admit your manly tenderness on a public forum !!

So where Can i find a decent bag / case for the single?... something to carry it in 3 peices. hmm.. maybe have to make something.

I hurt myself with twelve gauge, before I learned proper stance and grip.

I'm a big guy too, about 300 lbs, 6foot 3, and have been known to hoist a weight or two now and again, even though I've got a belly.

I was sticking the butt right into the bone between my bicep and my pec for awhile, and then I started sticking it into the joint of my shoulder for awhile.

Agony after 25 clays, trying not to look like a big suck.

Then I read shotgun gunsmithing, by the Gun Digest folks, and they had two pages on how to shoot correctly. Then I started lifting up my elbow high to form a pocket and my shotgun and I can finally be friends.

That's a big part of the problem. People don't seem to position them correctly. My first time shooting a shotgun was soo much fun, I didn't notice the pain. 100 or so rounds and a nights sleep later, visible bruising. Now I can go through a days worth of blastin skeet, trap and targets, without a mark.

Sorry for the thread hijack by the way ! I shut-up now.:ninja:

Buckshot or slug loads would hurt when the shotgun weighs less than 5 lbs. I shoot lots of heavy loads in my 14" HP9-1 but it weighs in at +7-8 lbs (yes it has been tricked out with lotsa doodads).

I shoot a short barreled .375 H&H carbine and find the recoil very reasonable but the rifle weighs +8.5lbs.

Well this one is 5.25lbs.....

Shouldn't be that bad.

Maybe it's the slug. I know some slugs are just horrible.

I say try some 00 Buck.

:)

I mean two barrels fire same time.
There are two reasons why a double barrel gun would fire both barrels at the same time. The first is a mechanical malfunction or design flaw in the trigger mechanism.

The second reason is either deliberate or the result of stupidity. This is when some moron thinks it would be cool to pull both triggers at the same time. This is usually proceeded by "Yuk, yuk, hey Bubba, watch this!" The other is when someone is so dumb they believe a twin trigger gun is SUPPOSED to be shoot with fingers on both triggers.

I have had guns inadvertently double on me. I have not done it deliberately.

Overall I am pleased with the product, for 300$s to your door. The grumpy old men here will never be happy, but I say even with a few issues its still a great deal. I had to trim about 1mm of wood from the rear of the forestocks upper areas to get a better fit. The only real 'issue' is that one hamer is hitting the reciever on its way down. Its a small fix, and addmittedly if this was a 2000$ gun I would be uber-pissed, but it isn't its a 300 dollar gun. Frankly if someone was looking to learn about guns and do some home improvements one of these would be a great choice, there are a few things you could do cheaply to them, to make them better.
I am sure RobAK, with his penchant for cheap commie stuff has seen some rough rigs, so I am waiting for his comparison of these shotties to other commie goods...

Are the bbls regulated to shoot to the same spot somewhere at about 30 yards? I have seen double shotguns shortened and they shoot a foot apart at 20 yards as the bbls dont bend in enough.

Just wondering ...

I just put my order in. :D Nice website Can-Am. Very easy to use.

I already have 2 short barreled 12 gauges. This website is bad news! :D ;)You're all a bad influence on me and I think you should all apologize to me (since we already have an apology thread going elsewhere ;)).

That's three not two.

It's a very good question. I have no doubt that one of China's finest gun craftsman spent the painstaking hours necessary to test fire and individually regulate each of these guns. There is also no doubt that he sent back each one that did not throw perfectly regulated patterns at the specified distance. I would certainly expect that each gun would come with the master's recommended loads and shooting distances. It should be with the manual.
