My RPAL came in the morning and I've been on the phone all day finding a retailer that has a Browning Buckmark Standard. I called over 15 places before I found one that had it in stock. I put my order through at wholesale sports and the guy said it should be here late next week (I doubt it).

I still need to decide on my centerfire handgun, but I needed the first handgun, just so I could get the ball rolling on my LTATT.

I recently got a Sig Mosquito, its cheap to shoot and I haven't had any problems with it. Im lookin for a centerfire pistol too, I think I would go with a 9mm because its still relatively affordable.
Have fun shootin and goodluck with the gun

Glad you joined us! Congrats on a fine looking pistol, and my advice is to buy .22 by the case! :)

I'm thinking of getting the same one! First I wanted a ruger single six , but friends have me convinced to go with the browning, much more fun and easy to carry.

How come WS don't show the Brownings on their website?

Do you know of any value ammo that works good in it? Thunderbolt/Federal Value/CCI stuff any good? Mini mags are kind of expensive for 22LR ammo I think.

My Buckmark likes the Federal value pack stuff the best (which works for me cause it is cheap). CCI runs pretty well too but some of it comes with a lot of wax which gummed up my mags. Another thing I learned with this gun is to make sure you clean the mags every 1,000 rounds or so(I am using three mags so if you are just using one I would say clean the mag every 300-500 rounds). I was having feeding problems after the first 1,000 rounds (I think from the CCI) but after spraying down the mags with G96 and giving them a good scrubbing the last 500 rounds I fired went through it without a hitch.

Good choice on the Buckmark, it is the best money I have spent on a gun.
