Just ordered my Tavor today the waiting game begins

fun

d:h: Seriously... it's getting a little crazy.

That being said, I understand that if not for them, there would be no Tavors here...

I don't see any other country that has em for Civie use...

I Just called...

apparently IWI sent the shipment with the wrong sights installed and they had to be sent back...

That being said, they are now hoping to have them all shipped by next Wednesday (the 24th).

Don't turn blue holding your breath

I don't even know what to say... :bangHead:

I guess the promise of me HAVING my tracking # by Friday the 19th is gone...

Ugh...

These Woohoo's about explain it....

edit: In my editing screen the Woohoo's where running in all sorts of directions like a bunch of Woohoo's that just stepped in crapola.

Demand for tavors is so low that canada ammo didnt think the ones he got would sell because they had different sights so he shipped them back ?? Does anybody actually believe that . im sure he could have sold them all in an hour . theres a sucker born every minute

This is ludicrous!

I've been keeping my eye on any Tavor-related thread for the last while now. I've got a Platinum credit card just itching to puke $3k within a 1/2 nano-second for the purchase of a Tavor. But this? This is simply becoming a fiasco.

I'm a businessman myself, and I know how some clients don't trust us or what we claim/say. The scenario unfolding right here is exactly the reason for that. To have sheeple....er, people ;) pre-pay $3k for a freakin' rifle months in advance and then get strung along for months more at a time, that just ain't right. At the very least, keep us all abreast as the events unfold.

Yes, $hit happens. That it can happen with such regularity with Canam is disturbing to say the least. :(

are they going to IWI ??
are they at IWI ??
have they left IWI??
are they at CanAm ??
are they being shipped out to customers ??

I guess CanAm can afford to loose sales, we all know how lucrative the gun industry can be.

Many have waited a year for the the T97 stuff, which shows how much we as gunnutz understand the need for patience and are capable of being patient & understanding......but but but...I find it insulting to be left in the dark like suckers. Maybe they think we are funny people, "oh look at the poor funny people" and find humor in these threads.... as far as I am concerned the show is over, the entertainers are leaving the building.

I think we deserve some explanations and time frame of what is going to happen. My $3,400 worth of an opinion of this situation.

Good luck getting your refund. I hope you paid by Credit Card so you can get the Credit card company to do a charge back. If you paid any other way let us know if you get your refund.......

Got my money back in 7-8 days for those of you who want to know. Paid EMT got refunded by cheque.

This Guy has zero stock and can fold up on a whim. just check his website its all pre order special order or out of stock
Why does discotech industries charge the card . Some way of shelting canadaammo ??

Canam just posted a job position for his company. That doesn't fall in line with someone who's downsizing his business.

Wow the paranoia is running rampant here. Look I am almost willing to bet my tavor that canam isn't up to anything nefarious. But I would like
to know what the delay is.

Whatever it is I'm sure it is out of CanAm's hand. They like to make money like everyone else.

My guess? IWI got hit with some military contracts and the small shipment of 200 guns got put on hold.

If anybody here has delt with dealers/exporters/manufacturers that sell to military/LE you'll learn pretty quick that civilian orders are ALWAYS on the lowest of priorities.

Im sure your friend did . did he buy it on EE ?? oh btw canada ammo had time to post in the henderson forum 20 mins ago . why not here ??

Yeah... i'm lying about my buddy getting his.
No he didn't, otherwise why would I mention it? He ordered his in '08.

I think i'll go play with MY TavorS now, have fun waiting.
Thanks Canam.

Why are you on here taunting folks who are obviously frustrated?
So you HAVE a Tavor...BFD.
I have guns too...so what.
Thanks for supporting your brethren.

Did your buddy pay full price, cash up front back in 2008? Or, did he get on the waiting list in 2008 with a small deposit and then paid off the balance recently?

After so many posts by the same folks whining and gnashing their teeth, finally we have someone making a sensible post.

There are many twists and turns along the road to bringing stuff like this in. I can assure you all that everything humanly possible is being done to get these guns into your hands in as timely a manner as possible. I would also like to point out that there is very little to be gained by any business getting into extended debates with impatient customers on a public forum.

Purchasing leading edge product like the Tavor involves a certain amount of risk and delay at the best of times, so if you don't have the constitution to handle the ups and downs, its probably best that you buy one off the EE at some undoubtedly inflated price or just give up on the idea altogether.

That's my two cents for what its worth ...

That was a plural. It was never directed at you or anyone else. It was directed at a person who asked a stupid question with attitude - and got what he put out back as a result.
I have many more guns, then just a Tavor too - BTW. BFD is right.

That's a really good question. I'll have to ask him and get back to you on that. I'd imagine paid full price, but will find out for sure.

Wow. That's a new low right there. Seen a lot of bottom scraping on various forums over the years, and that statement is as close to dredging as any of them.

Good thing me, or anyone else for that matter don't care what you say. You're probly used to that by now, i'd think.
As the original comment wasn't directed at you, mind your own business.
