I picked this up for hunting chickens. Might be a little too nice. If anyone knows anything about this gun, please feel free to share.

The choke tube does look like an aftermarket tube as Beretta Boy suggested on another thread.

I would concure that is not an oem choke tube as there is only one.
Unless of course the tube is not installed and is missing.
OP, stick your finger down the bottom barrel and see if you can feel some threads down there.
Dont get your finger stuck in there either....
Get a close up of the underside of the receiver so we can see the writing.
Then again maybe you have searched it out and found out it is going to be the sweetest chicken gun you ever use.
Shoot and Enjoy it.
Its a tool after all.

Beretta did make some early choke tubes that were not threaded and therefore would not have the notches for the choke wrench. This gun was probably too early for those choke tubes.

I have several Beretta O/U shotguns. I shot trap, sporting clays, pheasant hunts, and quite a few competitions over the last 30 years and have never had one in for repair.

Should work well for much more than just chickens.

A friend of mine in the US, that is very knowledgeable about Berettas responded to my question with the following comment ...

"The 685's sold in the US were all extractor guns and thus the barrel is very different configuration. Those sold in Europe were ejector guns and mechanically identical to 686. Barrels do not interchange. Otherwise, cosmetics."
