Just picked up a Savage 14 Euro Classic

Got it at a Regatta Day sale in Mount Pearl for $499. Doesn't look like they make this particular model anymore since it's not on the website. It was probably in their inventory for a while. I originally wanted the American Classic but they had none left. Any thoughts on this particular model?

It's in 308 win, has iron sights. Will pick up a scope later but I might try out the irons first.

Sure been impressed with Savage lately, just about every write up in a magazine basically raves about their accuracy.

Yeah, the wood and blueing finish is amazing for that price in my opinion. I guess it's an older model, the catalogue with the manual has 2007 model guns.

Good score and you can't go wrong for that price. I wanted to get one for the detachable mag and iron sights but they discontinued them before I could get one. I always keep my eyes open for them in the EE.

I have the 114 American Classic. Love it! She's accurate and pretty. Just don't look at the rifling. Looks like it was done with a. Cheese grater

I have a 243 model 14 that I never shot , bluing is sure nice I my opinion

I like it - I've always preferred oil finish to gloss.

Euro got the nice high cheek piece. Great for scope. Accurate for sure. Congrats.
