Just Picked Up My First Ever 25-06

I've shot a pile of deer and Antelope with my BBR. My favorite bullet is the old Nosler Solid Base 100 grainer.

I think with 125 gn Matrix it will be superior to any 270..........and if I need more, well I won't give you a list from there up, suffice it to say I got it covered........

a 2506 is a gun I have always had a bit of interest in however have always been told there are a lack of quality bullets. I doubt its true just haven't looked

The problem isn't a lack of quality bullets its the availability of any bullets. Course that isnt limited to 25 cal. All components for reloading are so hit and miss to find, and the prices are scalper high that i sometimes regret not topping up when i can. Luckily deer and coyotes have not been issued Kevlar. Normal cup and core bullets work fine, its when one stretches the 25-06 to larger and tougher game like Black Bear, Elk, or Moose that the premium projectiles shine.

25:06 is a wonderful cartridge...bullet choice is the key to make it an outstanding cartridge....But that really goes for all cartridges.
