Lovely rifle. They need to make this in .223. Seems silly they won't.

You could talk to north shore barrels. They have some nice brakes. Or maybe even Alberta tactical rifle.

Why would you waste good money on a muzzle brake for a .308 Win.? Do you find the recoil objectionable? Unless it's going to serve a purpose, why make the barrel longer than it already is? IMHO, save the money and put it towards your ammunition budget.

Everyone is getting these lol. I think there should be a sticky for everyone who has one. Or at least that I have noticed since I got mine. I personally put a thruster break from badger ordnance and had turned down and painted to somewhat match the barrel. Mine is pretty heavy on the mods though and heavy in general. Happy hunting man, you're gonna love this rifle.

Spotting your own hits is nice...

I tried the Pws, the AAC and the surefire on mine.
Surefire was the best as far as recoil mitigation.
All three were reasonably light, and loud as heck, could also smell the grass burning when shooting prone, lol !
Good bang for the buck those fcpsr's, acceptable accuracy for the price.

Nice piece, I was going to buy the same one but settled on the Precision 10 also in .308. I later purchased the muzzle brake listed in the manual direct from Savage for approximately $40 Canadian, including shipping, and believe me, even in .308 there is a noticeable difference in barrel rise, but it is loud. Fellow shooters at the range hate me.

im fortunate enough to just buy ammo when I need it... I wouldn't say I have an ammo budget. So why not spend hundred bucks on a break ? Barrel length doesn't bother me, im used to my long 300. Everyone wishes they had 2 more inches don't they ? *dirty joke*

Spotting your own hits is great and so is the looks.

Thanks for being a good sport. ;) It was just a friendly hint.

Haha, it was good. Made me think for a minute that's forsure... I was like, the shop was empty other then the store clerks and I don't post this stuff on FB... Who the heck could have known? Then the light turned on lol.
