Will be my first new in the box wheel gun as well,
Owned a few used 357s in the past, but nothing I was attached to.
I usually shoot 9mm and 40SW IPSC compatible semi autos.
Was lurking around for a 44mag fun gun for quite a while now.

Since my local club is very guest friendly, I was thinking this also makes a great piece to have guests to try once they show confidence in 9mm/40SW.
Plus reloading a pistol caliber for accuracy instead of power factor will be another fun venture.

At 899$+5% tx, it was the price of tipping point!

Congrats and welcome to the club, I recently picked up a SW 29-2 and shot it last weekend, quite the pistol! Definitely will be reloading for it as 56$ for a box of 50 is mucho $$$

44 mag,in my opinion is the greatest caliber, for a wheel gun ever conceived. It will kill anything that roams North America on the high-end and is pleasant to shoot in 44 special with cast loads on the low-end,there is no downside. Congratulations

Don’t know for +P
But since i’m an already avid reloader, i will content myself of a factory-ish load, as long as it’s accurate.
Don’t mind going slightly less powerful than factory if accuracy is improved

And since i won’t shoot it volumes, i think single stage will be the way to go.
Don’t see the value of conversions and resetting the 650 for 50-60 rounds per month.

Hope transfer comes in quick,
My next guest event is in 2 weeks, it will surely bring a smile
 
A fellow nutter let me try his 4-5 years ago.
Gave me 12 rounds and let her have it.
Still remember it to this day.

Was impressed how accurate it was,
Without mentioning the big woof it would produce every shot.
Pretty awesome!
 
There is nothing like a 44 mag and H110. you can load medium and nutter loads. I have a 29-2 and man is it a comfy gun to shoot even with full house loads and jacketed nosler HP's. As a side bennie, the same loaf works well in my japchester lever action carbine. Wonderful combination.

You can go way less than factory, down to pop gun loads and the thing will be a laser. I load down to 6.0gr of WW231 under a 245gr cast SWC and it shoots like a big PPC gun.

I have 3- all redhawk stainless-4.25, 5.5 and 7.5- the last 2 are scoped- I also have a c/a bulldog in 44 special- oh sure I have a slough of automatics, but I tire of picking up brass- just be open to the idea of Hogue grips- they REALLy soak up the recoil.

There is no +P for the .44 Magnum.

S&Ws will shoot loose more rapidly than Rugers with heavy loads, especially with heavy (>250 grain) bullets. If you want to shoot lots of 300 grain loads, a Ruger is the better choice. For most users that are shooting modest quantities of 240-250 grain bullets, S&W would be fine.

There most certainly is.

Buffalo Bore makes a beauty 340 gr +P and I believe it can be brought in from IRG.
