I love my 29-2. You know that you now need to get a lever gun in 44mag as well. The addiction never rests, LOL
How'd I miss this til now; congrats to OP on the .44 - great way to end off a range visit with some extra boom and fireballs!
I've used the 4 die Lee set, no problems of any kind, have never needed to lube cases either. All my loading is single stage, and while I don't shoot .44 a lot, I like the hotter end of the spectrum, again for some ####es and giggles at the end of a range day, and the heavy 7.5" Ruger is surprisingly easy to shoot. Did replace the pretty factory wood grips with Pachmyer Decelerators though. That became essential after some of that Buffalo Bore, those are not quite so easy on the paws as my own reloads LOL.
Try a little less heavy of a crimp. Too much and I find there is too much energy leaking past the front gap between the cylinder and the barrel. I set my crimp with a factory round then went 1/16" turn more on the die, and set it there.
Cool, glad you're enjoying it. Velocity needs longer barrels and/or lighter bullets. The 240's are nothing to sneeze at but if you want to some "hammer of the gods" type rounds try heavy loads with 180 gr Hornaday's or Sierra's.

I kinda want a Redhawk to go with my GP100.
