just purchased Sig Sauer 1911 carry stainless

Like the title says, I should receive my Sig 1911 carry in stainless steel very soon.

Is there anything specific I should know about these pistols?
i.e break in period, any unreliable ammo, sight picture- do the sights generally shoot at point of aim or should I expect to change the front sight out?

Any other info would be appreciated.
 
just make sure you post pictures when you get it.

For the quality you're getting, you worry too much.
 
I luv my GSR Carry. Clean it and shoot it. It takes about 100rds or so before it seats and works in to where it should be. Once its broken it it'll be amazingly accurate with a sweet trigger and totally reliable. Make sure the feed ramp is polished and all is good.

Keep it properly lubed, replace the springs when appropriate (5-7000 rounds) and for god's sake clean it when you're done shooting. (I've seen too many 'bad' guns that were choked with crap)
