Just remembering the krinker plinker

Why I ever sold mine I don’t know. Does anyone still have any of these fun little dress up kits?

Maybe you sold it because it weighed 300lbs and had the ergonomics of a roll of barbwire? A friend had one for a while, just picking it up off the table cured me of wanting one.

Those are neat, I'm more interested in the chicago tommy gun 10/22 conversion kit from fun gun. Those look wicked, almost pulled the trigger a few times on one. I think they run around $450, not cheap, nice lookin walnut tho.

My only connection to the KP was this~I remember going into a gun shop that had bought a qty. of 10/22 carbines with a plan of buying the KP kits to assemble/sell finished guns. Mid-stream in that plan, they could no longer bring in the kits and were blowing-out the 10/22s they had bought. I remember the spirit of the conversation, but not the details~they were pretty frustrated. Anyhow, I picked-up a new 10/22 for about $219 if memory serves, and it proved to be one of the most unremarkable, inaccurate 22s I'd ever shot, definitely the most inaccurate 22 I'd ever owned. That relationship didn't last. lol

The kits themselves look pretty cool, you see the odd finished gun pop-up in the EE but they've honestly never been a temptation for me personally. I thought of the KPs again when Mossberg came out with the "Blaze 47" and if THIS little, scary .22 was legal to own in Canada, I'd snap one up in a heart beat. https://www.mossberg.com/product/blaze-47-wood-25-round-37255/

You probably could buy one on the EE.

I got pictures some wheres of me shooting yours. When we used to goto Chester DNR range.

I have never seen one of these. When were they released?

2004 ish maybe. Came with a 8" and a 16" with fake suppressor.

I had one for about a year with 16” barrel with faux silencer which i took off and screwed on an A2 flash hider to save on weight.
I added a chinese AK forstock and shot it open sights but found it really shot much too low. I sold it as i prefered another 10/22 i had with its traditional stock instead. Had a lot of fun with the krinker and since bought it used i didnt lose out when i sold it nor have any regrets. It was for sure a conversation piece. I will post pics when i find them but the forend is on the rifle posted above. I think if i had a short barrel model i would have kept it. Definatley a high quality kit and actually quite comfortable to shoot and carry around. I think if i saw another one for the right money i would pick it up.
