Just right carbine Good or bad ?

I am looking at buying the latest edition of the JR carbine in 9mm. It has the threaded barrel. How do they function.? Seems the early ones gave some problems. Is the newest bach good ? Can it shoot out to100 yards accuratley. Sure would like some input. Thanks.

Mine was a real #####, sticky bolt like you wouldn't believe, but since I rotated it 180 degrees like the guys at JR told me to do, it's purring like a kitten.

I bought one in 9mm and about 5000-6 or 7000 rnds since January? and I have only had two stove pipes. That's it. Nothing else. Nadda, zipp, zoop, zang. It is fairly accurate, and like everyone else is saying it will eat almost any if not all types of ammo that you can feed it, even steel cased. Only thing is if you shoot it a lot like I do, it will get really dirty. Like scraping the chamber to get carbon out dirty haha, but even when it's that dirty mine still keeps running! And yes definitely buy a few mags for it. I have six 10/33 rnd mags and I want to get at least 3-4 more.

I have the 9mm version and I love that thing. I put a Bushnell MPX2 on it and they pair up nicely. I've never has any you're of failure our stoppage, but I'm just a little over 500 rounds so not statistically significant yet. The only things I'd change would be the mag release (needs to be on the right like an AR) and the fact that it doesn't lock back on an empty mag. But that's the price of a non-proprietary magazine. The benefit is obviously the ten round mags that also feed my Glock. All in all, I'd buy it again.

I really dont know.

It would be fairly easy to tell. If you have the upgrade kit installed the presence of the buffer tube extension piece near the back of the receiver would give it away. You can see the extension on the buffer tube on this .45 JRC photo...

No extension.
RANGE REPORT- no FTF No FTE no Sove pipes. 150 rounds. I hit everthing from 25 to 50 to 100 yards. Never missed once. The reflex scope works as good as the gun. FUN to shoot. Goes through ammo like a 10/22 LOL. Kinda of costly.
Well I think this JR will be alot better than my SKS at the tri gun shoot. The JR has its place as a good accurate fast, and dependable 100 yard rifle. This is a good rifle.

Update. after 300 rounds, I started to get Fail to eject. Cleaned it,..still did it. Seemed like the bullet was tight in the chamber. Tried different ammo. Never did get it solved.

I have one in 9mm and it runs fine. Like someone said earlier buy extra mags!!! Its a cool gun for sure. I have only shot it at 25-50 meters so not sure about 100 accuracy but its decent at 50, maybe 3-5'' groups although I did not measure but they were all on paper anyway. I went with a red dot over traditional scope but might switch it up and see what it can shoot someday.

Yah its dead accurate at 50 yards thats true, i'm running an eotech 512 and a g33 mag and it's really fun, but like you said at 100 yards I find it a bit tricky, I try to put myself on the bottom of the eotech circle, but it's not easy.

My 9mm doesn't have the stock extension buffer thing and it's serial is in the 50k range, so I'm wondering if that fix was for a limited series of serials only, and the newer ones don't even come with the fix at all.

So here's a few pics of the little baby

It's only for the .45 as far as I know...

Yah it does shoot fast, was going a little too fast at one point, made the guys next to me a little nervous.
