I just sold my 29-2 and now looking for a S & W in 357 so its easier on my hands any recommendations which model is a good gun thank you
Or message me if any are for sale thanks

There are a couple on switzer's auction in a few days, a 686, and a 19 or 2 , that is what I shoot, but 98% of the time jus 38 target loads in it ,my hands are buggered.
A model 19 is a K frame , so if shooting lots of 357m the 686, or a 586 ,Blued, would be better, but you are back to the heavy recoil again.
A model 28 would be the same as what you had, but in 375, 38sp, rather than the 44mag.

There are others, but these days the pickings are slim as hell. I like Dan Wesson, and Colts , but my everyday shooter is the model 19, it is a tuned 4 in.,12-6 class.
I have not handled the new ruger guns, but they are well built.

Why not shoot 44 specials? It's getting tougher to find revolvers right now.

I'd look for a model 27. N frame is the same size as your gun. I have seen a few come up for a decent price at some delaers.

Ive been looking at a 586 not too far from me a 357 ive heard that the 357 or 38 will have a lot less recoil and not hurt my hands as much

Why not shoot 44 specials?

No longer being a fan of heavy recoil in handguns myself & also a reloader I now load my .44 ammo down.

I find a 240 gr SWC going ~ 850 fps suits me just fine these days.

Even Dirty Harry said in Magnum Force that he shot his big S&W Model 29 with "light specials".... ;)
