Just some bragging

I use a turkey fryer and a 4 quart cast iron dutch oven I picked up at Army & Navy.

Dump the weights in the oven, put on the lid, apply heat. When the weights melt add some wax from dollar store candles. Light it on fire to reduce the smoke and stir up the whole mess. Use a slotted spoon to scoop out the clips, steel and zinc weights and any other crud. You should be left with nice shiny goodness ready to pour in the molds of your choice.

Damn it. Now I want some turkey...

Im new to this reloading idea, How many bullets can you make from 32 pounds of lead anyways?

Depends on bullet weight, but there is 7000gr to a pound so if making 124gr 9mm bullets, 1800. If making 700gr 50 cal then only 320 :(.

Zinc is easy to get rid of... And I sort my weights first...

Yep, and can in fact be desirable in some circumstances. Contaminate your lead with a bit of zinc and then flux with copper sulfate crystals. It will replace the zinc with copper and add toughness to your alloy. Pretty cool actually. The copper will also replace tin though so you need to be careful. Would be best to add some tin for fill out after alloying in the copper.
