Well, I found out today (well, yesterday, actually) that I've spent the last 23 years without an ACL in my left knee... Great... So, I'm looking at an ACL replacement/reconstruction sometime in the spring, with at least 6 months recovery/physio time after that... So, I think I'll be sitting out this summer, from the competition point of view (I'll still go and shoot, but it won't be in any way competative - IPSC is for fun, I'll need my knee for the rest of my life, so letting it recover is more important than pushing it for the sake of hit factor ;-) ). Hahaha, maybe by the end of the summer I'll have better luck finding ammo which won't stove pipe in my SP01 Shadow![]()

You are not too heavy,...which has a factor in your knee recovery and future problems. I had the surgery 12-13 years ago. Every day stretch a little,....BIKING or on a stationary bike is very good for recovery,....
You are going to be gimped up for at least a month. Although I was biking at school about 3 weeks after i had the surgery. Don't say no to the drugs,...you will be in pain if you don't take it . You will be using a knee brace (no, not a neoprene thing), a real knee brace, probably a "Don-Joy" made of plastic, metal and straps. You will use it for sports that involve constant movement, and IPSC.
