Best Part of BB= Best Buddies EH!
As above, the best part of BB is the FRIENDS you meet on the IPSC range regardless of how well you end up competing. I just moved back in 2003 to where I grew up 1940-1964. I took my BB in 1991 and helped form a group called the Thunder Bay IPSC League.
Here in Peterboro I enjoyed in 2003 some IPSC Matches at the nearby MCO and the rest is "history". Together with some kindred BB "Best Buddies" that I tagged up with and linked up at the Marksmen Club of Oshawa we decided to get our own local IPSC League going in Peterborough.. We teamed up and formed the Peterborough Fish and Game IPSC League which in 2005 had its first IPSC Matches "again" since a long layoff from the 1980's or early 90's.
The October Level II Match had 52 Competitors with MORE Level I and Level II one,two and three gun Matches to come in 2006!
Essentially that same BB group worked together in Election 2006 to help elect Dean Del Mastro as the NEW MP for Peterborough.
You learn a lot about a person in a two hour Level I or Level II IPSC Match as they do of you eh!
Thats the best part of BB training! At age 65 I am not planning to go to the Olympics BUT I do know in BB "Best Buddies" Terms with WHOM know I can "Ride the River"...whether it is to put a Level II Match NROI RO work together with and/or work 100% to elect a new CPC MP for Peterborough: Dean Del Mastro.
The Level IV Election 2006 Match is History! MP Designate Dean Del Mastro attended his first official event yesterday. THANKS BB "Best Buddies" and ALL Peterborough Fish and Game Association Members.
The next "BB Ride Across the River" will be to put Property Rights Into the Constitution.
Any resemblance between that Constitutional CPC Trail Ride and "Lonesome Dove" will be purely coincidental.
Saddle Up All CPC-CPCA-CSSA-DCRA-IPSC ON-IPSC CANADA-NRA-SASS- SFC Amigos!
