Just watching a hunting show and now I've seen it all.

I've seen guys using mouth diaphram calls, hand held calls and electronic calls. I've heard just about every animal vocalization these calls can make. I've watched guys hunt out of tree stands, box blinds, and vehicle blinds. I've even seen them hunt out of a blind built on top of a feeder to bait deer in. Now I just saw a guy in a ground blind using a deer call that sounds like a feeder. Wow.

I've heard of moose hunters who fire up chain saws to call them in. "Un-wild" tactics aren't my thing, although I do use a portable stand now and again.

Its getting harder to justify the $3 a month for WildTV.

Every show starts with 'Hardcore', 'Extreme' or a 'Passion'.......t

The middle is corny music and displays of useless f**king gear

The end is a bunch of guys searching though the bush for a dead 8 pointer the camera man has obviously already found.............since he is sitting behind it. Followed by highfives and dry humping.

Thanx for clearing that up for me, I had pretty much stopped watching wild TV but couldn't quite put my finger on why. Best rational I have heard to ditch the channel.

I also love how 99% of the time they are hunting in Canada but the show is hosted by a guy from Missouri and is called some thing like "Outdoors in the Heartland":D:D

I keep it because I like Shockey, and those kids from Saskatchewan(hunting canada and beyond), they make entertaining shows. American shooter is good too.

No kidding. I'm sick of the Dream Season too. If the Drury brothers knocked on my door today, I'd punch them in the face...:p

The only shows I really enjoy are the more exotic ones like sheep/goat hunts or European hunts...Or Alaskan/Yukon hunts. I enjoy the Hunter's Journal usually...

I had moose come in to checkout my 2 stroke KTM when I was ridding out west. Friggen hilarious to watch a cow tilt her head when she see's a 'power ranger' blip the throttle on an orange, over powered broom stick... Our hunting party has always had the best luck around old clear cuts... but never thought of using the dirtbike to call em in...

I'm with you gth.

I really hate the overdone sound effects and inapropriate music. Not to mention the freakin' commercials. There seems to be more commercials and talk about sponsors than there is about hunting.

"....this segment is brought to you by *******, and *******, and by *******, and *******, and by ********** and............

Gotta get me one of them Huskemaws....yeah, right.

I don't watch much anymore. For me, a lot is lost in the hunting experience by watching it on TV.

I almost don't think hunting should be shown on tv at all. The people watching can't feel what the hunter is feeling and the whole thing tends to look far too cold blooded and ridiculous.

Its like the same people who make some of the overhauling type shows on Speed channel are doing these shows. Its all about sponsors and using the sponsors products.

I cancelled WildTV for the same reasons.

Canada in the rough does a much better job at showing hunting.

I only get it for a few bird hunting shows a week, and I like looking at guns on any of the guns & ammo shows. Even tho most of the time these guns are just pimping products with little to no useful info. I can see those guys are gonna be brushing their teeth with doe urine tooth paste soon....you know the "revolutionary" stuff that you can't hunt without!

Still beats having to watch chick shows with my wife tho.
