Love this new caliber! I'm looking at deer season with some heavy "X" bullets and maybe even spring bear myself.
Shoot with what you have until you get everything that you want!

Probably the 243. I usually hunt with a 30/06 and the 22 centerfires are illegal for big game in NS

Me personally? 7mm08. Simply because it's the smallest of the 'big game' calibers that I own. I have a 30-06 but I hate that cartridge, so it's out. Everything else I own is more suited to elk/moose sized game or varmints, so 7mm08 it is.
