Here is a range report for the Grand Power K-100

I bought the stainless finish. Humm

First take it apart. Easy , however the putting it back together another story :(

I can live with that, the grip, the two halves do not align correctly, and you have a thin raised rib right in the center of the backstrap.

Again little details.

How does it shoot, with 185gr Blazers it shoots well grouping about 3 inches @ 15yrds, with no rest.

What gets me is the sight.. Two nice white dots in the rears with a straight bar in front. The front bar is grayed, so it blends in the target, and you loose you sight picture.

I will do some work to the grip and the sights and report back in. I have some pet loads for 230 that i want to try. And yes I will use a rest next time :)

So far not bad:

But I really screamed when I was putting the Grand Power back together and the slide slipped out of my hand to land a several feet away form me ...

Tightgroup, I found the easiest for me is hold the slide upside down in your hand (with Barrel in the slide, slid forward), then bring the frame (upside down) back to front (push forward) onto the slide. I fumbled trying to put together for atleast 15 min.... Now, it takes less than 5 seconds to reassemble.

My sights are the same and that was one of my 'complaints'... I am still hoping for Marstar to bring in the fiber optic front sight as options.

I ordered my gun custom with the FO sighs in the package... We'll see what they'll look like ;)

UM, am I reading your post wrong (it IS 1am)

What ammo did you use again???

I'm assuming the 185 and 230 gr bullets would be for a .45?

Isn't this design only in 9mm right now???

185 and 230 in 9mm?   How did you even make it shoot???   I'd be happy with 3 inches with those loads :p

Opps what a screw up :(

I was firing my HK USP 45 acp at the same time...

Its a 115 gr FMJ Blazers and I have a pet load for a nice 124gr Hornaday FMJ RN.

I must have of been under the fumes when i wrote that :(

Thanks for picking that up,

But back to the point there is a Fiber Optic option for the K100 ??? Thats very interesting.

TG, one (or more) of the K100 models comes with a Fibre optic front site. It seems none of these models were brought in by Marstar, but implies that the sights should be available as factory replacement options. Last communication I had with Marstar suggested they were waiting for a large parts shipment (mags, components, etc) to be able to offer sight changes, extended mag releases, etc..

Have a look at the K100 website for the different models..

on the backstrap, it is no different than what the Glock's have. I suspect it is simply weight savings as the hollow cavity is open. I think there are options for the glocks to have a plug to fill in the hole....but suspect nothing exists for the K100 (as of yet..)

Thats great news that FO is available. And yes the mag release extension would be a nice feature to have.

I am sure with the FO this will become a great little 9.

Now to crank out some ammo and get a shooting :)

Thats a clever way of using an orifice :)

On a further note I checked the www.k100.sk web site and found that the K100 SHOULD come with a 3 DOT sight .

Now I would imagine that the ones we have should have the 3 dot sight, but they do not.

I am starting to wonder if what we got where defects of some sort.

I will try and call John at Marstar .....

Its not defect.
sights of K100 are possible : with 3 dots, with 2dots rear sight+front with serration, fully without dots

Sorry but I do not understand your web site clearly indicates that the target has a full FO available. If my Czech is not to rusty.

Is there an import problem .

I was at the range today with the K100, and this time it did not like the Blazer 115 fmj, but chewed up the 124 RN fmj quite well, It groups better with 124.

I had a crappy benchrest which was of no use whatso ever, so human error needs to be factored in.

what Yaro said was that yes, you can get a FO front sight, but they don't sell the front sight by itself, you'll need to order a set of FO front sight and fully adjustable rear sight - a package.

Well it seems I cant get the FO for the K100 :(

No one seems to have them :(

A touch of white out sure improves the sights, but I would really like to see the FO on this gun.

Its starting to group better with same ammo, still have to get a bench rest test going, that should happen in the next week or so.
