K-31 with 7.5x55 vs Swede Mausers in 6.5x55: Which is better?

At the range I always drift over to the K-31 rifles. They have the Victorinox coat of arms, the bolt is gigantic, it has a ring like an old-fashioned syringe, the balance makes it feel light and nimble and when the ### pay elf is put through it, it hits to point of aim. I feel a yodel coming on. Riiiiii co laaaaaaaaah!

Teapot, if you want, pm me. I see you're from Hamilton. I'm in Mississauga and head out to Silverdale... So Next time you head out to Silverdale, let me know. I can bring both my k31 and m96. Buy some prvi ammo for both and you can shoot them all you like. Or you can compare commercial ammo to my reloads.

Samsplacci71, that is kind of you. I'd love to shoot those rifles. I've shot both in the past but was not impressed with the M96 rifles. I'll get the ammo and compare. Perhaps your Swede is better than the ones I have shot. The Swiss rifles were consistently accurate though.
I usually shoot on Saturdays at Silverdale on the 100 and 200 yard range that has the gong.

pm inbound.

From P&S Guns and Militaria I received a 1934 Walnut stocked K-31. Beautiful rifle and so lefty-friendly. Smooth and ergonomic. Trouble is I cannot bring myself to open the 480 round battle pack of GP-11 with the little red seal. It is too beautiful!

In short, I have not shot it yet. I do have one round someone gave me at the range. It is so beautiful I am be reluctant to shoot it.
However I want to shoot this Alpine rifle.

Fellows, it would be much better if Lisa Stoll or Melanie Oesch were to be at my side while I shoot this old rifle and it would make me happy. But, sadly, Melanie just got married :(and I want nothing more to do with her. Harsh, but, honest of me. She has chosen a lesser path; I know, I know, it is her loss. It is up to Lisa now. Lisa and her Alpenhorn.

One day, soon, I will take this cuckoo-clock-like rifle and shoot it at one hundred metres and two hundred yards. With the ###-Pay-Elf it will shoot true. If only Lisa Stoll were by my side I would be able to shoot truer. :(

Time for another trip to Schweiz.

Glad you got your rifle!! Don't worry, all Swiss rifles are quite elegant and equally beautiful. Don't be shy, take some pics of the GP11 and crack open that case!!! Enjoy your new toy!!
