Let's put it another way, if it has electropencil, it's not how it came out of Oberndorf! and it's not worth anywhere near what an original goes for!

The imaginary K98's are very rare. I herd many volksturm troops were issued with these. Many didnt believe they were issued any rifles at all, and wondered why they had to make the "bang" sound themselves. But I have 2 in my safe. Very interesting pieces.

Andy sounds right. I mean, you'd think if he had a K98 he could at last transcribe the bloody manufacturing code instead of being so ridiculously vague.

Someone might as well close this thread so it doesn't waste space on the front page.
 
This is one of the biggest pet peeve's of mine. Some rookie walks in and asks for help, but doesn't have pictures. We give them the best answer we can, but it's really nothing much since we need pictures.

And then the greenback just walks away and doesn't bother to finish the job. Grrrr! Call the bear cavalry!
