K&M Arms M17S

Better grab that GHW razorback rail from zahal when they get some. Allows you to remoce your barrel with out removing your optic rail and having to re-zero.

As far as I remember, the stock rail on the Tavor (later gen) can also be removed while still attached to the barrel, and with optics on top? I am not 100% sure though. Does it?

~~~EDIT~~~
Now I remember the charging handle assembly cannot be removed without removing the standard rails, therefore the rail must go off first. I'll look into the razorback rail for sure.
Yes. But on the left hand model, the gun will eject to the left. Everything will be reversed. Ejection, safety, controls, etc. This is an intentional plan for the gun. Buy it right, or buy it left. No ambi versions.
...or buy one of each and fire with both hands!
Ken has said there will be dedicated left and right handed rifles. However, it is unlikely that will be soon.
It seems like ambi options are standard for new guns nowadays.
No gun is truly ambi, just accommodating the "other" handed. Conversion guns, for left and right hand shooters, still only eject one way, depending on which way one shoots.
Bullpups display these downfalls to a T.
In keeping costs down, and keeping the design straight forward, K&M has decided to go with dedicated left and right versions. They will be building a version specifically targeted to the left hand crowd.
I expect righties will be just as perturbed as you are, that these lefty dedicated guns are not designed with righty shooters in mind.
This is why I never keep my DND AR10 and Tavor in the same safe together!!! looks like someone made that mistake and the M17 was born!!
The RFB and FN PS90 and FS2000 are full ambi bullpups. But yes they are the exception to the rule.
