There has been a lot of discussion here lately about the K100, so forgive me for starting another thread. It IS a new topic!

I called Marstar today to buy a K100 Patrol, but they were all sold out. I inquired about the Target model, but it too was gone. The Silver is all they have left.

I was set on buying the Patrol model but now I'm not so sure. On Marstar's website they only indicate the only differences between the standard Patrol model and the Target are an extended mag release and a fiber optic sight, which is hardly worth 150$ difference. I've now read a bit about the trigger pull being much lighter and possibly shorter.

Has anyone here shot both models? What is the trigger pull like on the standard Patrol? I don't have the chance to shoot either so I want to make the right choice. I might be interested in shooting IPSC production eventually.

I have a Patrol, the double action trigger is decent at I believe 8.5 lbs without an exessively long pull and the single action is fantastic at a crisp 5.5 lbs or less with what seems like 1.5mm of travel. Maybe you'll find a better out of the box SA trigger on a good 1911 but not on any other service type pistol that I can think of.
